It was Sunday, the 4th of September. I felt kind of low and tired after saying goodbye to family and friends in Sweden, and having my arrival to Nice delayed for several hours.
When I was standing on the door step to my new home for the next few months, I was extremly nervous. After climbing three floors with my heavy suitcase I finally reached the apartment.
The girls who greeted me were so nice, and especially one of them made an extra good impression on me. Leanna!
You were so talkative and sweet, concerned about me even though you didn't know me at all. You have no idea how many anxious thoughts of doubt you spared me by being so insanely kind and social.



Things I love about Leanna, part II:

- How she makes up words and they have a strange way of making perfect sense. I'm totally gonna keep using "unkidnappable". Which I by the way also love about you, that you're unkidnappable!

- All your energy and all spontaneity! You've taught me (and not to mention Caro) a lot.

- That you have the solution to any physical condition.

- That you think that dehydration is the source of 90% of all the health issues. And I can't believe how many times you've actually been right.

- Our secret winking signals. When something's good. Or when we wanna be flirty. Or just because it's fun!

- The amazing Leanna-expressions, like:
"That's the best thing I've heard in life!"
"Bitch please.."
"Homeboy is always eating his baguette"
L: "What?! Shut the front door!!"
Brigitte: En français, Leanna...
L (without hesitation) : Fermez la porte!

- That you invented this game :)

Leanna White, sometimes I wonder if you know how much people here love you. A lot of times it felt like you were the glue who were holding us together.
Julia and I cleaned the apartment yesterday, and now we're just waiting for you to return :( We've talked a lot about you, and Faridah. Three words is enough: we miss you.

And also, I'm really happy I that got to meet Nanette. She is simply wonderful. I was almost proud of her for being able to hang out with all of us so easily. She really was one of us. Give her a warm hug from me and Julia!

And like I told you during the dinner, I feel very confident that we're gonna meet again, the four of us. I don't know when and I don't know where, I just know it. We're gonna make it happen.
Whenever you wanna come to Sweden, you know the door is always open for you in Halmstad.
